PB&J rides

Southern Tier Bicycle Club - offering recreational group rides in Central NY since 1969!

What are PB & J Rides?

PB & J rides are shorter and cycled at a more relaxed pace than many STBC rides.

They are typically about 20 miles long and around 10 mph - a relaxed sightseeing and conversational pace. Riders bring snacks and water along (perhaps a PB&J!), and sometimes a restaurant or ice cream stop is planned.

Rides are often held on Wednesdays and done by 4 pm, and ride details (meeting time and place and ride route description) are posted to the STBC Googlegroup by the ride leader a few days ahead.

PB & J rides stop at key points to collect riders - nobody rides alone!  Cyclists keep an eye on the riders behind them, slowing down if they don't see them so no one gets lost.   It is a group ride and riders stay together!
